Europe by rail or backpack Summer 2010

Europe by rail or backpack Summer 2010

Postby ArchMan » Sun 30 May 2010 04:41

Hi,

I'm planing on traveling Europe relevantly soon. I don't have a ton of cash so I'm trying to keep it on a tight budget. I'm looking to stay there for a month or two, or three if it works out. I was thinking about traveling by the rail system or by backpacking and hitching cheap rides. I have a few places I would like to go but am open to traveling just about anywhere. I'm a male 26yrs old, looking for male or female any age, I'm not concerned about who you are just as long as you can relax if things arn't planned out perfectly. I would like to leave sometime in the beginning to mid june. If your interested in traveling along with me let me know we can work something out.

Hi there, I am looking at traveling around Europe for four weeks starting very very soon (about the 27th/28th)! I'm going in my car, alone, and am starting to panic a bit so am looking for people to join me along the way.

I hope to go to Belgium (Bruge and Brussels), Germany (Cologne-where I am meeting a friend for a few days, and Berlin), Poland (Wroclaw and Krakow), Czech Republic (Brno and Prague), Austria (Vienna), Switzerland (Zurich) and France (Paris).

This is my plan at the minute but I am happy to go with the flow. Please get in touch if you want to join me anywhere along the way!

HI Betsy,

I think your plans sound great. I am arriving in Ireland on the 30th and plan on staying for at least a couple of days. Besides that I have no set travel plans. Allot of the places you are going are on my list of places to visit so if you want to meet up somewhere let me know. I am leaving my home on monday night and i dont know when i will have internet access but im assuming im going to be able to find it in a cafe or airport, so if i take a couple days to get back to ya thats probably why.
Let me know whats up, and thanks for replying.

Hey matt, thanks for the reply :) I'm also planning on leaving on monday night so likewise with the possible slow replying. So what are your plans or are you planning on just seeing where you end up. I have a rough plan of where i'm heading and when but i'm happy to change then if someone suggests something fun and exciting. It would be good to have some company along the way so if you want to join me at some stage please email me on here and we can try and sort something out.
Betsy :)

Hi again,

I don't have any set plans except for when I arrive. My plan is to fly into dublin (arriving on the wednesday the 30th in the morning) hang out for a couple days then go to either going to London, Paris, Brussels, or Amsterdam from there, depends on what I can find or what is going on.

I am open to changing any plans or just going where ever the world takes me. The only place that I am set on going to is Barcelona, and I can fit that in later if you are not planing on going that way. The reason I must go there is that I am a recent architecture graduate and Barcelona is home of my favorite architect Antoni Gaudi, all of his work is barcelona and it is very stunning to say the least. But besides that I don't really care where I go.

I'm happy to meet up anytime, I could join you for you whole trip or any part of it. I do have a tight budget so I'm not trying to break my bank by spending it every time i have the chance to.

I was wondering where you were starting from and what your general plan is? I think we can work something out, it would be nice not to have to travel alone the whole time I'm there. Hope to hear from ya soon.

Matt :)
