San Francisco to New Orleans August 2010

Hello out there!
My name’s Mark, I’m a young 50 year old and I’m looking for a travel buddy to tour around southwestern USA for up to 6 weeks from early August. I’d like to drive through Utah and Arizona and finish off in New Orleans. I plan to start from San Francisco so heading across to Yosemite National Park is also an option. These times and plans and mode of transport are flexible so if you have any ideas let me know!
I’ve traveled a lot over the years so I don’t mind roughing it or camping it when required as well a 2 or 3 star accommodation. Some walking or hiking would be great. Please let me know what you would like to do!
