Himalayas for a few days, anyone interested?

Postby aker2009 » Tue 2 Feb 2010 17:06

Is anyone interested in spending about 8-10 days (that's all the time I have, unfortunately) exploring the foothills of the Himalayas. The towns that I will be visiting are Gangotri, Uttarkashi, Kedarnath, Guptkashi, Badrinath, Rishikesh, Haridwar, Delhi and if time permitting Agra. Travel will be mostly by rental car and train. These towns lie at the foothills of Himalayas and may need some kind of trekking. Getting a little tired of doing this all by myself. Land portion of the tour in on me as I have to go anyways.
I'm a 40 year old Canadian of Indian Descent

i intend to go to India from May 3rd to May 19th, to hike in the Garwhal region. I booked a trip with an indian agency. The trek is Sahasratal trek. If anyone is interested to join us, you can contact us, and we'll provide you more information. the price is 1450us$ from Delhi to Delhi. The trek is quoted difficult (strenuous). The max altitude is 5400 m.
At this moment, we'll two, may wife and me, but it's possible to be 6 in the group (the price will be better!).
We are french, but we speak english ... with a nice french accent.
If you want to join us, you will be welcome.
